Community Defibrillator Project

In  September 2017 we set a goal of raising funds for four community defibrillators. Less than eight weeks later, from a Town which had none, the group have raised funds and placed five defibrillators within the community.
“We wanted to improve the ability of the community to deal with a heart attack by providing access to a defibrillator within minutes. The defibrillators are easy to use, providing step by step instructions.” David Bewley Trustee.

The defibrillators are located at: The Broken Bridge, LS24 8AE, Genesis Hair Design, LS24 8AB, Coors Brewery, LS24 9FD, Costa Coffee, LS24 9AU and the Jackdaw Inn, LS24 9HJ.

“The group will be leaving a long-standing legacy with the project, providing FREE CPR training in the local primary schools and community sessions, educating everyone and improving Tadcaster’s community resilience supported by Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool.” Nicola Eades Trustee.

We would like to thank the following people for their support, Jackdaw Inn, Coors Brewery, Costa Coffee, Genesis Hair Design, The Broken Bridge, Tadcaster Town Council, Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool and to all the people who have made donations.

The group will continue to raise funds for this project making sure the defibrillators can be maintained and so they can continue to educate our next generation. Donations can be made through the registered charity’s donation boxes in Tadcaster or online:  https://www.youcaring.com/communityproject-973434.
